What happens when I exceed my data allowance?

You can view your monthly and daily data usage, as well as current usage breakdown in our Customer Portal

If you exceed your data allowance, your connection speed will be ‘shaped’ (slowed-down) to a speed of 1.5Mbps Download / 1.5Mbps Upload for the remainder of your billing cycle. This shaping applies to both the on-peak and off-peak time frames. Once shaped, some applications may be unavailable or severely disrupted.

Usage Notifications: If your plan includes a monthly data allowance, we will notify you via email when you reach 50%, 85% and 100% of your data allowance. Keep in mind these notifications could be delayed up to 48 hours. Should you wish to unsubscribe from all usage notifications please contact us.

For users who require more data, we do offer unlimited data plans. We do not charge a plan change fee if you are increasing the data allowance of your plan.

I’ve gone over my quota accidentally. Can I get more data?

Sure! We understand that sometimes, life happens, and a large game download or update uses more data than you were expecting for the month.

Data packs: Data packs are available for purchase to temporarily increase your data allowance for the month. These are helpful if you have exceeded your monthly data allowance however if you would prefer not to change your plan. Data packs can be added through our Customer Portal or requested via live chat.
