Bringing a modem-router from another provider? Here’s how to configure the TG797 v3 for a Pentanet PPPoE service.
First, connect your Pentanet fixed wireless service to the device’s ethernet WAN port (usually coloured red), then log in to the device at http://10.0.0.138. Finally, configure the PPPoE settings for Pentanet as shown below:
Things to keep in mind:
- The TG797 v3 only has a 100Mbps ethernet WAN port, and the maximum throughput achieved when testing it is around 90Mbps.
- If you aren’t able to complete the steps outlined in the video above, try factory resetting your device. If you’ve customised your wifi settings (or anything else), note these down before factory resetting your unit, as any changes will be lost.
- You deserve the best, and for the best possible experience, we recommend upgrading your router to a Pentanet recommended model: https://pentanet.com.au/shop
