PentaMAX operates in the 60GHz band. The 60GHz band is safe - the high frequency has a hard time penetrating solid objects like people or walls.
Yes, the mmWave band starts around 30GHz. PentaMAX uses the 60GHz portion of the mmWave band.
Usually it would, but not with us! The antenna we use is equipped with a backup 5GHz connection. In the event that your service drops out in the rain, your antenna will quickly fall back on its 5GHz connection to keep you online!
Maybe, for any of your devices connected via Ethernet (including any networking devices like routers, switches and wireless access points) we’d recommend checking whether or not they have Gigabit Ethernet ports. For any of your wireless devices we’d recommend checking that they (as well as your wireless router) are 802.11ac or Wi-Fi 5 ready.
Once you’ve signed up we’ll organise a time for our friendly install team to attend your property and install an antenna on your roof. They will then run Ethernet cabling from the antenna to a new data point, where you will connect your router.
